Venue Mob saw the effort and strain being put in by their fellow founders and decided a Friday afternoon session that had nothing to do with startups, customers or coding would benefit everyone in the cohort, and maybe build a stronger community bond between everyone. So, Mob Talks were born, and have been happening every Friday night at MAP offices for almost 10 years.
Now that Melbourne Connect is MAP’s new home, and we are excited to involve the new MAP cohort, and the whole precinct community in the tradition. We hope it will bring as many laughs, inspire as much new knowledge, and develop just as many friendships as it has to the Melbourne Accelerator Program teams over the last 10 years.
As we welcome our new Melbourne Connect Community to the building, please join the Melbourne Connect team on the 16th of July for the first Hub Talk and take the opportunity to get to know one another, with light refreshments provided.
The first Hub Talk will star our very own Melbourne Connect Events and Activations Manager, Tim Bright. Tim has been with the University for 3 years, and moved across from the MAP team, knowing the Hub talks all too well. In the first talk of the new series, Tim will talk about his love of surfing, why he struggles as a goofy-foot in Victoria, and how he brings himself to jump in the southern ocean at 7am on a July morning.
Location: The Launchpad – Melbourne Connect
Please make your way to the Mezzanine Level (Level M via lifts or directly up the staircase at the main entrance) and ask our friendly concierge team where “The Launchpad” is located.
