Join us for our Making Digital Health REAL! Series (MDHR!) on Wednesday 18 September 2024 with Dr Hannah Wallace, MBBS (Hons.), FRACP.

Our Making Digital Health REAL! series are held fortnightly on a Wednesday via Zoom and designed to enhance the practical learnings of digital health and informatics. Our speakers will provoke thought, exchange the latest knowledge and ideas, and provide industry insight. This series is ideal for you if you are a clinician or researcher with an interest in digital health and informatics.

In this seminar Hannah will present her work in developing a remote patient monitoring application for patients with heart failure and chronic kidney disease, in partnership with industry. She will discuss the process from design and testing, through to piloting the program. Hannah will share some of her key learnings from this project thus far including considerations and challenges in converting medical knowledge to algorithmic rules, determining if an application is a medical device and highlighting the importance of the care process around the intervention.

Dr Hannah Wallace is nephrologist at Western Health and PhD candidate with University of Melbourne. She completed the LHS Academy Fellowship in 2023. Hannah’s research interests are in improving health systems and care for patients with chronic and complex health conditions. Hannah is also passionate about medical education and is a Clinical Skills Tutor and Translational Research elective Mentor for the MD Year 2 program at University of Melbourne.
