STEM Centre of Excellence
Delivered in partnership with the University of Melbourne and the Victorian Government, the STEM Centre of Excellence at Science Gallery Melbourne investigates the collision of art and science. Embracing scientific and artistic inquiry alike, our programs foster development of transferable 21st century skills and explore design thinking programs through a creative lens.
The programs are designed in collaboration with young people to connect students to world- class scientific research, interdisciplinary artistic practice, innovative teaching, First Nations STEM programs and industry partners through state-of-the-art learning spaces in the new Melbourne Connect precinct.
Teacher Professional Development
The Teacher Professional Learning courses are specifically designed to support teachers by providing technical skills, knowledge, and resourcing across a targeted range of STEAM topics. Teachers at Partner Schools will be invited to a STEAM Forum in Term 2. From Term 3, Accelerator Courses across a range of disciplines will also be available. Visit the Science Gallery website to acccess the booking form below to find out more.
Competitions
Across 2021, students have the opportunity to take part in a number of competitions that link directly to STEM Centre of Excellence programs.
