Melbourne Knowledge Week
Melbourne Knowledge Week is an annual festival that brings Melburnians together to explore and discuss, to share ideas, to challenge assumptions, and to spark new ways of thinking. Across seven days, the broad program of events, workshops and performances celebrates our City’s rich heritage and potential for innovation.
For the first time MKW is expanding to offer four event hubs that are centrally located around the city, with Melbourne Connect selected alongside the State Library, Wesley Place, and the Meat Market.
From the 29th of April – 2nd of May, Melbourne Connect will come to life with fourteen events held within the precinct. Take part in a two-day hackathon with Engineers Australia and work as a team to solve a challenge facing our city. Explore brain health in Lifelong learning for better brains, through a range of hands-on activities such as drawing, creative writing and journaling, marvellous macrame, indoor plant care and more. Or, read anonymous experiences captured by Scribe, a project led by Australian artist and curator Leisa Shelton, capturing thoughts from public contributors with a portable writing desk.
