In the second week of May, participants are invited to explore a series of interactive installations, talks and workshops hosted at our precinct that celebrate our city’s rich heritage and potential for innovation.
With a packed program open to the public, this year’s MKW has something for everyone — from a panel discussion about health equity and an Innovators and Entrepreneurs Breakfast with female leaders in tech, to a Start-up Expo aiming to solve society’s big problems and a Clean Energy Hackathon, aspiring to develop unique solutions to climate challenges.
During the week, visitors can co-design future homes with augmented reality (AR) by stepping into Ignite Lab, a carbon-negative model apartment integrated with AR. Discover how industry seeks to improve our climate’s resilience via circular material economies through a real life build of what a sustainable apartment could look like.
If you are after tech experiences with more human-centred connectivity, bring your curiosity to Speed Date a Founder on 13 May, where you can gain insights and discuss ideas with Melbourne’s startup community. With this action set against the backdrop of
Australia’s premier innovation hub, this is one festival not to be missed.
