Prof Jeannie Marie Paterson - Co-Director, Centre for AI and Digital Ethics, University of Melbourne

Prof Jeannie Marie Paterson is the co-director of the Centre for AI and Digital Ethics, a new collaborative, interdisciplinary research, teaching and policy centre at the University of Melbourne involving the faculties of Computing and Information Systems, Law, Arts and Science and Co-leader of the Digital Ethics research stream at the Melbourne Social Equity Institute, an interdisciplinary research institute focused on social equity and community led research.

Jamie Skella - Chief Operating and Product Officer, Mogul

Technologist and outspoken distributed workforce advocate, Jamie Skella has spent 20 years in the design, building and advising of emerging industry businesses across blockchain, IoT, VR, and even future food.

Formerly Head of User Experience at the AFL, in 2019 Jamie was appointed Chief Product Officer at Australia’s first ASX listed esports business, Esports Mogul. Jamie’s prior startup, Horizon State, won the World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer award for his work in democratic innovation, which was also voted 7 of 100 on a list of world changing companies by The Australian – ahead of Elon Musk’s SpaceX.

The Connected You event series is delivered by Melbourne Connect, a forthcoming innovation precinct and ecosystem co-locating industry, research, talent and entrepreneurs to establish Melbourne as a global innovation destination.
