“As anyone working in the startup space knows, the founder journey can be a tumultuous and isolating experience. “

These were the words that the Melbourne Acclerator Program used to introduce R U Ok? Day in 2019, and in there words…we don’t even know where to start with 2020!

Suffice to say, challenges upon challenges have been compounded this year, so the goals and purpose of this terrific national initiative are more important than ever. To help, MAP is getting involved by hosting a virtual morning tea, and you are all invited.

🌈 Join us for a Virtual Morning Tea ā˜•

You’re invited to take some time out and join us for a virtual morning tea.

This year, you will need to supply the coffee and cakes yourself, we’re sorry, but we can certainly offer real community connections, and genuine support.

What is R U Ok? Day?

R U OK? DayĀ is a national day of action dedicated to reminding everyone that every day is the day to ask,Ā ā€œAre you OK?ā€Ā if someone in your world is struggling with life’s ups and downs.

The Melbourne Accelerator Program wants to take the opportunity on this year’s national day of action, to host a morning tea for Melbourne’s startup community, and provide an opportunity to ask each other “Are you OK?”

What Can You Do?

Register a ticket, and join us for morning tea, where we will

  • hear from some terrific speakers
  • get a chance to meet some new people in some facilitated networking
  • learn how to ask “R U Ok?”, and what to do next
  • catch up with others in our entrepreneurial community

To be prepared to help others, you can learnĀ R U Ok’s simple 4 step process,Ā so you can have a conversation that could change a life.Ā  The four steps are:

  1. Ask R U OK?
  2. Listen
  3. Encourage action
  4. Check back in
