Open Talent Pathways is a pre-accelerator program for research students. At this stage of idea development, the founders-to-be are particularly interested to hear from and get in touch with industry experts and advisors, as well as eventual collaborators and partners, including co-founders, who can help shape their ideas and venture formation plans.

Emotional Intelligence Theme Park – provides kids and parents with courses, resources and strategies to experience and express different emotions in a healthy way and practice tolerating them to develop emotional intelligence.
foodStalk – a mobile app that helps apprehensive consumers to plan their outings in a COVID-safe way.
HappKey – a digital companion that helps busy professionals take charge of their performance while not compromising on work-life balance through AI-driven tracking and task management tools and mental well-being reminders.
MatExpert – providing high-performance materials for medical devices and sports equipment.
Migrant Connect – personalised services for skilled migrants to better prepare for and find jobs in Australia.
POPS – provides an app that helps locals and tourists find and utilise privately owned but publicly accessible spaces in city centres.
RadPath – a SaaS product based on deep learning that helps new-to-the-job radiologists to quickly and accurately assess medical scans and images, giving them confidence in their decisions.
The Country Fitness Club – tailored physical fitness programs for remote Australian communities.
Tru – a web-browser integration that helps users assess the trustworthiness of information they encounter online through analysing and displaying metadata related to the piece of information.
MID’s Open Talent Pathways program gives research students at the Masters and PhD level at RMIT and the University of Melbourne the opportunity to embark on their first journey in the startup ecosystem. It provides participants with the entrepreneurial tools and support to develop and validate their ideas from inception to concept and through to a first business model design.
