Join us at our Graduate Research Showcase 2024 hosted by the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT) at the University of Melbourne.

From biomedical technologies and artificial intelligence to sustainable infrastructure, this event will highlight the incredible work of our graduate researchers and showcase our extensive research activities and industry programs across all facets of engineering and IT.

This event celebrates innovative research projects within the fields of:

  • Biomedical engineering
  • Chemical engineering
  • Computing and information systems
  • Electrical and electronic engineering
  • Infrastructure engineering (civil engineering; structural engineering; environmental engineering; geomatics and digital infrastructure)
  • Mechanical engineering and mechatronics.

Highlights of the Showcase:

  • Graduate Research pitch & poster competitions: Explore the innovative projects and achievements of our talented graduate researchers and their significant contributions to knowledge.
  • Keynote Speaker: Professor Sally McArthur, Director of the Institute for Frontier Materials (IFM), at Deakin University.
  • Networking opportunities: Engage with industry leaders and explore future collaborations.
  • Meet potential supervisors: Connect with potential supervisors for your future graduate research.

Prospective PhD students will have the opportunity to meet potential supervisors and current graduate researchers, discuss the application process with our Admissions Team and find out more about studying a PhD at the University of Melbourne – including how to commercialise their research and work with industry. Travelling scholarships are available for qualified prospective PhD candidates from interstate or New Zealand.

Industry professionals will explore the various ways to partner with our graduate researchers, from collaborative research projects to innovative industry PhD programs and internships. See firsthand the vital role that industry-academic partnerships play in driving change and making a real-world impact.
