Calling all engineering students! Join this two-day hackathon and work as a team to solve a challenge facing our city.

With inspirational guest speakers, and mentors on hand to help you along the way, your team will have plenty of time for brainstorming before arriving at a creative solution. The theme of the hackathon this year is ‘Building inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable communities in our city’. Each participant will receive an information pack a week prior to the start of the event, with the problem reveal on day one. The event will culminate on day two, with each team taking the floor for 7 minutes to pitch their idea to a panel of expert judges.

This will be a fun exercise that challenges students to solve under pressure, work together and hone their presentation skills. There’ll also be catering provided and plenty of prizes.

All attendees must attend both sessions. Open to all tertiary engineering students in Victoria. Register your team of three to five students, or sign-up by 20th April 2021 as an individual to be assigned to a team.
