Cybersecurity: The Blockchain Use Case

Melbourne Connect have partnered with Blockchain Australia to bring you this special event exploring the intersection of Cybersecurity +Blockchain and why you should be paying attention to this space.
Thursday 30th July, 2020
12:00am - 1:00pm
Online Event
Free

Futurist Steve Sammartino will be joining us on Thursday, he shares why this topic is so important right now.

The development of cyber security capability to protect the Australian economy is a national priority.

Complex trust relationships underpin our economy. Networks are vulnerable to hostile disruption, manipulation by malicious actors, or information theft for commercial or geo-political gain by non- aligned interests.

Emerging Blockchain technologies are one of the ways we can under-write trust in networks and should be considered as a potential platform to develop trusted sovereign networks.

The speakers will include:

  • Senator Andrew Bragg (Liberal Senator for New South Wales)
  • Joni Pirovich (Special Counsel – Mills Oakley)
  • Chloe White (National Blockchain Roadmap Lead, Department Of Industry, Science, Enerhy and Resources)
  • Guy Harrison (CTO of ProvenDB)
  • John Paitaridis (CEO of CyberCX)

We hope to see you there.
