CONASTA71 is the national conference of science educators and will take place in Melbourne on 7-11 July. This is an exceptional opportunity for primary and secondary science teachers, science education and curriculum professionals, laboratory technicians, and representatives from science-related professional bodies to contribute to the discourse on advancing science education.

Join us for an immersive experience where you will be offered insights into the latest developments in science education, unparalleled networking opportunities, and access to innovative tools, resources, and teaching practices.

This year’s theme is “Perspectives: Science Educators Shaping Tomorrow” which will celebrate the innovative culture of continuous learning at all levels of schooling in Australia. CONASTA 71 will feature keynote presentations from Finnish educator, author, and scholar Professor Pasi Sahlberg, the Indigenous Knowledge Institute’s Professor Michael-Shawn Fletcher, Brain Cancer Researcher Professor Misty Jenkins, Professor of STEM Education Professor Amanda Berry and the Expert in Cultural Astronomy Associate Professor Duane Hamacher.

With over 150 talks and workshops, CONASTA71 will address the following sub-themes:
