ACMD-VMH Showcase: Innovations in Medical Technology

Victoria is home to a flourishing and innovative medical technology ecosystem – explore it with us in this interactive and insightful event co-hosted by the Aikenhead Centre for Medical Discovery (ACMD) and the Victorian Medtech Skills and Devices Hub (VMH).

Hear from some of the professionals at the forefront of medical innovation in Victoria and explore some of the cutting-edge technologies and treatments being developed in our own state.

Innovations in Medical Technology offers attendees the chance to explore some of the most groundbreaking work being done in our sector in a highly interactive exhibition format.

Attendees will hear from some of the ACMD’s most respected industry and academic partners, taking the audience through the key points of developing successful medical technologies and devices, including

  • how intelligent industrial, architectural, and communication design contributes to a successful product,
  • the challenges and benefits of working at the interface of academia and industry, and
  • what it’s like launching and growing a medical technology start-up

The VMH will also be discussing how we are working to close critical skills-education gaps in Medtech, helping to build a more specialised and job-ready workforce.

Attendees will have opportunities to speak with presenting researchers and view a range of exhibits during the networking session.
